10-year Defect Warranty
Krohm 10-Year Defect Warranty with 2-Year Harsh Conditions Coverage
Greetings from Krohm Batteries! We take pride in our product quality and offer a 10-year limited warranty for our Krohm branded Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries ("the Battery"). This warranty is designed to provide you with confidence when you purchase a Krohm Battery from Krohm.com or any of our authorized distributors or dealers. It's our way of ensuring that your investment is protected.
10-Year Limited Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our batteries and guarantee that your Krohm Battery will be free from defects for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase. To determine the purchase date, you can refer to your sales receipt, shipping invoice, or the battery's serial number, along with valid proof of purchase.
For the first 5 years of the Warranty Period, we've got you covered for any material or workmanship defects. If any issues arise with the Battery during this timeframe (with specific exceptions, which we'll detail shortly), we'll either credit, replace, or repair it—whichever is most suitable to get you back up and running.
From 5 years to 10 years, should any parts of the Battery be deemed defective due to material or workmanship issues, and we find that these components are repairable, we'll conduct the necessary repairs and return the Battery to you. If it's beyond repair, we'll offer you a new Battery that's similar to the original at an incredible discount of 60% off the listed price at that time. You'll have a generous 30 days from the date of notification to take advantage of this offer.
2-Year Harsh Conditions Coverage
Recognizing that not all batteries operate in the same conditions, we've introduced a 2-year Harsh Conditions Coverage. This warranty applies to Batteries used in demanding applications or subjected to extreme environmental conditions. It remains valid for 2 years from the date of purchase, provided the Battery has been used in accordance with our guidelines for harsh conditions.
Harsh Conditions Include:
- Usage of the Battery with a combustion engine
- Operation in high-vibration environments
- Exposure to saltwater during operation
- Operation in dusty conditions
- Operation in snowy conditions
- Operation in extremely hot conditions
- Operation in extremely cold conditions
Guaranteed Lifespan
The lifespan of a Krohm Battery depends on various factors, including usage and application. Our warranty assures you that for 10 years, your Battery will be free from manufacturing defects. If any issues arise due to our workmanship or materials, we're committed to resolving them.
Our LiFePO4 technology boasts a half-life of 6,000 recharge cycles, equivalent to approximately 12 to 15 years of regular use. This represents the maximum usable lifespan achievable under optimal conditions and proper care. We guarantee a minimum expected lifespan of 5 years, which translates to approximately 2,000 recharge cycles with regular use. This warranty covers Batteries that fall short of this lifespan due to manufacturing defects, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
Lifetime Technical Support
We believe in providing exceptional support to our customers. With this warranty, you also gain access to lifetime technical support. Whether you have questions about charging, usage, storage, or anything else related to Krohm Batteries, our team is here to assist you. This support extends for as long as you own and use your Krohm Battery, which could be longer than the 10-year warranty period.
Non-Transferable
Please note that this Limited Warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser of the Battery and cannot be transferred to any other individual or entity. If you need to make a warranty claim, kindly contact the place where you made the purchase, and they will guide you through the process.
Warranty Exclusions
While we aim to provide extensive coverage, certain conditions and situations are not covered by this warranty. These include:
- Damage due to improper installation
- Environmental damage such as exposure to extreme temperatures, fire, freezing, or water damage
- Repeated exposure to saltwater without proper protection
- Damage caused by collisions
- Improper maintenance, including overcharging, undercharging, and dirty terminal connections
- Use of the Battery in configurations exceeding 48V
- Opening, modification, or tampering with the Battery
- Use of the Battery for applications it wasn't designed for
- Use with over-sized inverter/chargers (3500 Watts or greater) without approved surge-limiting devices
- Under-sizing the Battery for the application
- Failure to charge the Battery for over 1 year
- Charging the Battery when the temperature is below 32°F / 0°C
- Improper storage that doesn't adhere to our guidelines
In addition, this warranty does not cover a Battery that has reached its normal end of life due to usage, which could happen before the Warranty Period expires. For example, frequent cycling of the Battery more than once a day may cause it to reach its normal end of life sooner than expected. In such cases, we reserve the right to deny a warranty claim even if it falls within the Warranty Period.

Our commitment to quality is reflected in this warranty. It replaces and supersedes all other warranties, whether express or implied.
